**Job Title**
D365 Project Operations Functional Architect
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, governance and optimization of complete project lifecycle processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations. Drive functional architecture, process standardisation, and integration across finance, procurement, HR, and reporting systems while ensuring compliance, data integrity and stakeholder alignment.
**Expectations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end functional architecture that aligns with business outcomes.
- Own the transformation roadmap, from sales to project closure, ensuring adherence to Microsoft best practices.
- Act as the primary liaison between business executives, PMO, delivery teams, finance, and procurement.
- Champion configuration‑first implementation, minimising custom code and maintaining audit readiness.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Solution Architecture & Process Design** – Define end‑to‑end functional architecture; design processes for sales, estimation, pricing, costing, WBS, scheduling, resource management, budgeting, procurement, time & expense, invoicing, revenue recognition.
- **Fit‑Gap & Standardisation** – Conduct fit‑gap analyses, drive global project delivery template standardisation.
- **Governance & Documentation** – Lead design‑authority discussions; review FRDs/BRDs; approve integration designs; enforce configuration‑first approach.
- **Stakeholder Leadership** – Facilitate workshops with CXOs, PMO, sales, delivery, finance and procurement; translate business goals into a transformation roadmap.
- **Delivery Oversight** – Oversee CRP, UAT, go‑live readiness, cut‑over strategy, hyper‑care support.
- **Compliance & Controls** – Implement internal controls for budgeting, cost tracking, subcontracting, billing, revenue recognition; ensure audit, statutory, tax, e‑invoicing, SoD compliance.
- **Enablement & Change Management** – Produce SOPs, process documentation, training materials; mentor functional consultants; drive continuous improvement through KPI tracking.
**Required Skills**
- 10–12 years experience in project operations or professional services.
- 2–3 end‑to‑end implementations of Project Operations / PSA platforms.
- Proven track record as Functional Architect / Process Consultant / Lead SME.
- Deep knowledge of complete project lifecycle from opportunity to project closure and financial reconciliation.
- Hands‑on configuration in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations.
- Expertise in pricing, costing, WBS, scheduling, resource management, budgeting, procurement, invoicing, revenue recognition.
- Understanding of project accounting (margin analysis, cost accumulation).
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology or related field.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (preferred).
- PMP / Prince2 certification (preferred).
- Agile / Scrum / SAFe certification (preferred).
