Job title: Cloud Solution Architecture Advisor
Role Summary:
Lead the design, evaluation, and implementation of cloud‑centric and hybrid solution architectures that align with business, security, and regulatory requirements. Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and cost‑effective technology deployments across on‑premise, public cloud, or hybrid environments.
Expectations:
- Minimum 15 years of cumulative IT experience, with at least 10 years in a senior architecture or consulting capacity.
- Proven expertise as a Microsoft or Linux Azure solutions architect.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Professional proficiency in French (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel within the Quebec City region and pass a mandatory background‑check assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into high‑level and detailed software and infrastructure architecture diagrams, including integration, security, and data flow.
- Produce comprehensive deployment plans for on‑premise, public‑cloud, and hybrid scenarios.
- Conduct solution assessments, presenting scenarios, risk, benefit, and ROI analyses for pre‑project phases.
- Plan, design, and coordinate the development, installation, integration, and operation of computer‑aided systems, including mobile applications.
- Classify information systems and develop transition strategies for data migration to target systems.
- Define maintenance procedures for operating systems, communication environments, and application software.
Required Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure architecture (or Linux‑based Azure environments), cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and hybrid integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of enterprise security controls, compliance standards, and architectural best practices.
- Experience with architecture modelling tools (e.g., Visio, Azure Architecture Center, or similar).
- Project planning, design, and coordination capabilities for multi‑disciplinary technical teams.
- Ability to assess and communicate risk, benefits, and ROI to stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills in French, with clear technical writing and presentation abilities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Preferred: Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or analogous Linux‑Azure certifications.
