**Job Title**
Business Continuity & Resilience Officer
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of the organization’s business continuity and crisis management program. Support the Director of Investigation and Security in ensuring operational resilience against a wide range of risks including security incidents, public health crises, cyber attacks, natural disasters, and geopolitical events.
**Expectations**
- Maintain a fully operational continuity framework and crisis response capability.
- Deliver annual Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and plan testing campaigns.
- Provide up‑to‑date KPI reporting for executive committees.
- Ensure regulatory and industry best‑practice compliance.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Strategic Planning & Deployment**
- Translate continuity strategy into actionable plans for critical services.
- Update and maintain continuity plans, procedures, and SOPs in collaboration with operational teams.
2. **Testing & Exercise Management**
- Design, execute, and document scheduled continuity tests (boots, simulations, table-top).
- Coordinate crisis‑management exercises, including cyber scenarios, with Cybersecurity leadership.
3. **Risk & Impact Analysis**
- Conduct regular BIA and impact assessments, identifying critical dependencies and remediation actions.
- Monitor supply‑chain and vendor risk, overseeing mitigation for third‑party critical partners.
4. **Reporting & Governance**
- Develop and keep contingency & KPI dashboards; report findings to leadership and Board committees.
- Participate in governance committees, presenting insights and recommendations.
5. **Stakeholder Engagement & Communication**
- Develop internal training and awareness programs for management, security, and all staff.
- Manage crisis communication tools, notification systems, and stakeholder contacts.
6. **Continuous Improvement**
- Lead PDCA cycles for continuity and crisis management processes.
- Incorporate lessons learned from incidents, tests, and audits into program updates.
**Required Skills**
- Proven expertise in business continuity, crisis management, and risk assessment.
- Strong project management, stakeholder liaison, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex operational processes and develop practical resilience solutions.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry best practices (e.g., ISO 22301, ISO 27001, NIST CSF).
- Proficiency in maintaining and interpreting KPI dashboards and incident reports.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Security, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, CRISC, CISSP, ITIL, or equivalent highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in continuity, resilience, or crisis‑management roles.
