**Job Title:** Kubernetes/Integration Platform Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable Kubernetes and NATS platforms across on‑premise Edge sites and AWS Cloud to support Mission‑Critical applications, including AI workloads. Provide 24/7 platform reliability, automate CI/CD, and enable self‑service for application teams.
**Expectations**
- Build and operate multi‑environment (dev, staging, prod) Kubernetes clusters for Edge and Cloud.
- Deliver high‑availability, secure compute & data integration.
- Manage on‑call rotation, critical incident response, and platform troubleshooting.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, monitoring, and knowledge sharing.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters, networking, storage, RBAC, and NATS streaming deployments.
2. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and infrastructure‑as‑code templates (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, CloudFormation).
3. Monitor platform health (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk), analyze metrics, and implement proactive alerts.
4. Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications, optimize resource usage, and integrate with platform APIs.
5. Provide consultative support (debugging, break/fix, troubleshooting) and rotate on‑call duties for outage response.
6. Expand platform capabilities by exploring new tools, automations, and edge‑cloud integration scenarios.
7. Record and disseminate best practices; contribute to internal documentation and knowledge bases.
**Required Skills**
- Kubernetes cluster design, deployment, troubleshooting, and security (RBAC, network policies).
- NATS or equivalent streaming technology setup and management.
- Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Terraform, Helm, Ansible, CloudFormation.
- CI/CD automation via GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Rancher, or similar.
- Cloud platform administration – AWS (and optionally Azure) with governance, automation, and development focus.
- Scripting: Python or GoLang for automation and tooling.
- Experience with container orchestration, GitOps tools, and monitoring stacks.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration across cross‑functional teams.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical program.
- Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD); AWS Certified Solutions Architect or comparable cloud certification is preferred.
