Job title: Data Scientist
Role Summary:
Lead end‑to‑end healthcare data science projects, from business case development through data processing, exploratory analytics, and machine‑learning model deployment. Drive impact on clinical outcomes, service delivery, and operational efficiency within the health sector.
Expectations:
- Deliver measurable improvements in health outcomes and cost effectiveness through advanced analytics and AI.
- Act as a health data subject‑matter expert, partnering with clinicians and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize data‑science opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, DPA) and responsible AI standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement statistical and machine‑learning models on multi‑modal health data (EHR, wearable, imaging).
- Conduct health programme evaluation using clinical outcomes, wellbeing metrics, and economic impact measures.
- Forecast healthcare demand and utilisation.
- Develop, deploy, and monitor production‑grade AI/GenAI solutions in cloud environments.
- Support scalable ML infrastructure and architecture.
- Manage agile workflows with tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Translate analytical insights into actionable clinical and business recommendations.
Required Skills:
- Extensive applied data‑science experience in healthcare/clinical settings.
- Expertise in medical statistics, epidemiology, and population health (survival analysis, regression, longitudinal, epidemiological methods).
- Proficiency in Python, SQL; cloud platforms (Snowflake, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with end‑to‑end AI/GenAI projects, business‑case development, model deployment, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of ML infrastructure, scalable platforms, and agile development practices.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills.
- Curious, analytical mindset with a drive for continuous learning.
Nice to have:
- R, Power BI, clinical genomics, health‑economic analysis, pharmacogenomics.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
- Relevant certifications in data science, AI, or cloud platforms preferred.
