Job Description
Job title: Manager, Security Design & Integration, Americas Role Summary: Lead physical security design and system integration for EdgeConneX data center projects across North and South America. Own end‑to‑end delivery from initial concept to commissioning, ensuring standards compliance, customer requirements fulfillment, and seamless coordination with engineering, construction, IT, and security operations teams. Expectations: • Own and deliver secure design solutions for new builds, expansions, and upgrades. • Define security requirements, acceptance criteria, and design guidance aligned with EdgeConneX standards. • Review, approve, and close integration partner designs, submittals, and punch lists. • Coordinate system interfaces, dependencies, and schedules across multidisciplinary teams. • Validate installation quality, perform site inspections, commissioning checks, and generate turnover documentation. • Provide estimating and budgeting support for physical security systems. • Continually improve standards, templates, and repeatable patterns to reduce rework. Key Responsibilities: - Manage physical security design delivery, from early design through commissioning. - Define project security requirements and acceptance criteria. - Review and approve designs for access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related field devices. - Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, IT, and Security Operations on interfaces and schedules. - Validate installation quality through checks, site walks, and commissioning reviews. - Resolve design gaps, defects, and punch items, verifying corrective actions. - Maintain high‑quality documentation: design drawings, as‑built records, test results, configuration records, and turnover packages. - Provide estimating and budgeting input for security systems. - Enhance design standards, templates, and reusable patterns. Required Skills: - Strong technical knowledge of physical security systems and integration methods. - Ability to evaluate designs rapidly, identify gaps, and make practical decisions under pressure. - Vendor management experience: setting expectations, enforcing baseline requirements, holding partners accountable. - Clear written and verbal communication; translate technical requirements into actionable directions. - Disciplined execution: tracking, documentation, follow‑through, and closure. - Comfortable managing multiple sites and stakeholders without losing detail. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum 5 years of experience in physical security design, systems integration, or program delivery, preferably in critical infrastructure/data center environments. - Experience with technical drawings, construction deliverables (submittals, RFIs, as‑built). - Proficiency with LenelS2, Lenel, or Genetec preferred. - Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or willingness to pursue equivalent certification.
