**Job title** Group Learning & Development Manager (9‑Month FTC) **Role Summary** Lead the design, delivery, and embedding of core L&D initiatives across a multi‑site organization. Own the group learning strategy, budget, and reporting for the 9‑month contract period, ensuring alignment with business priorities and capability needs. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality, blended learning solutions that improve performance and compliance. - Manage the end‑to‑end L&D process: needs analysis, design, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement. - Own the group technical training suite and nurture talent development pathways. - Provide data‑driven insights on training ROI and cost efficiency. - Operate at pace, handling multiple priorities within a fixed contract timeframe and demonstrating rapid impact. **Key Responsibilities** - Translate organisational capability needs with leaders into clear development solutions. - Design, build, and facilitate behavioural, technical, and onboarding programmes across business units. - Create and maintain a group‑wide talent development module: capability assessment, succession planning, and career pathways. - Own all technical training requirements; collaborate with operational and technical leaders to forecast needs and build structured learning paths. - Design and implement a consistent, engaging onboarding experience for new hires. - Manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost‑effective spending and accurate reporting. - Track training activity, evaluate effectiveness, and recommend continuous improvement. **Required Skills** - Proven L&D experience at a group or multi‑site level; end‑to‑end training design and delivery. - Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Knowledge of blended‑learning methodologies (workshops, e‑learning, coach‑based frameworks). - Experience with technical and compliance training management. - Budget management and training effectiveness measurement. - Ability to work at pace, juggling multiple priorities in a fixed‑term contract. - Eligible to work in the UK. **Required Education & Certifications** - Higher‑education qualification (Bachelor’s) in HR, Business, Learning & Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Professional L&D certification (e.g., CPLP, SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SHRM‑SP, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
