Job Description: Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (High Risk) Role Summary Senior Software Engineer responsible for building and refining a near‑MVP product in an early‑stage startup environment. The role is unpaid, with potential equity and executive participation based on contribution. Expectations * Accept an unpaid position with equity contingent on company profitability. * Work independently and collaboratively on all technical tasks as required. * Demonstrate commitment and long‑term interest in the product and the startup’s vision. Key Responsibilities 1. Design, implement, and maintain software components conforming to product specifications. 2. Participate in the full development lifecycle: architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and support. 3. Collaborate closely with the founding team on technical strategy and roadmap. 4. Provide rapid, high‑quality solutions to technical challenges and feature requests. 5. Mentor junior developers or interns when needed. 6. Ensure code quality through reviews, unit testing, and documentation. Required Skills * Proficient in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Java, or similar). * Strong understanding of software design patterns, RESTful APIs, and cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure). * Experience with front‑end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and/or back‑end frameworks (Express, Django, Flask, Spring Boot, etc.). * Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. * Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code. * Excellent problem‑solving skills and willingness to tackle high‑risk, high‑reward problems. Required Education & Certifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). * No mandatory certifications, but knowledge of secure coding practices, cloud fundamentals, or related courses is advantageous. ---
