Job Description
**Job title** Marketing Manager – Maternity Cover **Role Summary** 9‑month interim Marketing Manager for a UK food‑and‑drink community, responsible for attendee communications, event promotion, customer service, and brand engagement across digital channels and in‑person events. **Expectations** - Deliver consistent branding and clear messaging for all event‑related communications. - Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date event listings and attendee data. - Support the full lifecycle of event applications and the Challenger Fund bursary. - Collaborate closely with Partnerships and event teams to ensure smooth operations and timely partner deliverables. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Manage all attendee‑facing communications (email, website, social media). 2. Operate and update Eventbrite listings; generate and deliver attendee reports. 3. Moderate the Facebook group (14,000+ members) and respond to user inquiries. 4. Oversee the company website, ensuring event details and content are current. 5. Handle the retail pitching cycle: application setup, processing, and communication. 6. Administer the Challenger Fund program: application intake, selection, and notification. 7. Coordinate with external partners to promote event attendance and joint initiatives. 8. Work with Partnerships Manager on partner deliverable tracking. 9. Write copy for newsletters (Mailchimp), segmented email campaigns, marketing funnels, blog posts, and showguides. 10. Assist with event logistics, staff management on event days, and attendee hospitality. **Required Skills** - Experience in fast‑paced B2B marketing, preferably within food and drink. - Proficiency with Mailchimp, Canva, GSuite, and Slack. - Strong written communication and copywriting ability. - Customer‑service skills and inbox management. - Ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and problem‑solve on the fly. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. - Digital marketing or email marketing certifications (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics) are a plus.
