**Job Title**
Palantir Foundry Consultant – Forward Deployed Engineer
**Role Summary**
Hands‑on consultant responsible for designing, building, deploying, and supporting Palantir Foundry solutions. Works closely with senior engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to own end‑to‑end delivery, from solution design and implementation to operational support and client engagement.
**Expactations**
- 3+ years of commercial experience with Palantir Foundry in implementation, consulting, or engineering.
- Proven record of building pipelines, ontologies, and application components (Workshop, OSDK/APIs, Actions, AIP).
- Experience in performance tuning, security configuration (RBAC/ABAC), schema change impact analysis, incident response, and root‑cause investigation.
- Client‑facing skills: workshops, demos, requirement elicitation, and design walkthroughs.
- Strong foundation in data engineering concepts and modern software engineering practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and maintain data integration pipelines, ontology models, and application layers on Foundry.
- Configure permissions, RBAC/ABAC, object‑level security, and audit compliance.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and environment promotion for Foundry artefacts.
- Diagnose and optimize performance: parallelism, partitioning, caching, compute configuration.
- Set up monitoring, alerting, and observability for pipelines, apps, and integrations.
- Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and enforce non‑functional requirements (SLA/SLO, resilience, backup).
- Conduct technical discovery sessions, translate business needs into Foundry use cases, and demo prototypes to stakeholders.
- Enable and train analysts and power users through labs, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Follow and contribute to internal standards for code quality, naming conventions, testing, and design patterns.
**Required Skills**
- Deep familiarity with Foundry components: Pipeline Builder, Ontology, Workshop, Code Repositories, OSDK/APIs, Actions, AIP.
- Proficient in at least one general‑purpose programming language (Python, Java, or similar) for data transformations, services, and integrations.
- Core data engineering knowledge: batch/stream processing, data modelling, data quality, governance.
- Integration experience with enterprise identity (SSO, SAML/OIDC), REST APIs, and data platforms/warehouses.
- Modern software engineering practices: version control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code.
- Ability to apply security principles and performance tuning in Foundry environments.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; Master’s preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., data engineering, cloud platforms, Palantir Foundry) are advantageous.
