Vice President of Business Development
**Role Summary**
Senior leadership role responsible for driving the commercial strategy and customer engagement for a breakthrough cleantech technology that permanently destroys PFAS, AFFF concentrates, and hazardous liquids. Leads the full commercial sales cycle across Canada and the United States, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to align technical, operational, and financial feasibility with market opportunities.

- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and deliver clear, value‑based proposals.
- Navigate complex regulatory and technical environments, translating sophisticated solutions into compelling business cases.
- Travel across Canada and the United States as required to engage decision‑makers and support on‑site demonstrations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute a business‑development strategy aligned with commercial objectives and operational capabilities across Canada and the United States.
- Identify and engage organizations with PFAS/hazardous‑liquid management needs, establishing trust‑based relationships with key decision‑makers.
- Lead prospects through opportunity qualification, technical scoping, proposal development, and negotiation of service agreements.
- Coordinate customer participation in demonstrations, pilots, and on‑site visits.
- Produce clear, structured commercial proposals and customer‑facing materials that communicate the technology’s capabilities and readiness.
- Maintain an organized, up‑to‑date commercial pipeline, including opportunity status, timelines, and engagement metrics.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, R&D, Finance, and Legal to ensure feasibility, compliance, and alignment with internal capacity.
- Monitor PFAS regulatory developments, competitive technologies, and market trends, providing insights to support strategic planning.
- Represent the organization professionally and contribute to continuous improvement of customer‑facing processes and materials.
**Required Skills**
- 8+ years of progressive business‑development experience in environmental services, hazardous‑waste management, industrial or municipal technical sales, defense/federal contracting, or clean technologies.
- Proven ability to advance multi‑stakeholder commercial opportunities in regulated or technically complex sectors.
- Strong negotiation and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Skill in translating complex technical solutions into clear commercial value propositions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail and disciplined follow‑through.
- Ability to operate independently, manage multiple engagements, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to travel within Canada and the United States.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field.
- Certifications are not required but may be advantageous.
