Job Description
**Job Title:** Commissioning and Testing Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of complex offshore handling, lifting, and control systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and Siemens S7/TIA Portal components. Serve as the primary technical liaison on client sites across the Baltic region, ensuring high‑quality delivery in fast‑paced, high‑spec engineering environments. **Expectations:** - Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on commissioning experience in offshore or large‑scale mechanical/electrical systems. - Proven ability to travel and mobilise offshore/onshore sites, predominantly within the Baltic region. - Strong client‑facing communication and a disciplined, professional work ethic. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute commissioning plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria for integrated systems. - Configure, program, and troubleshoot Siemens S7 PLCs and TIA Portal environments. - Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and functional tests, diagnosing and resolving failures. - Prepare detailed test reports, change logs, and as‑built documentation. - Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure scope, schedule, and safety expectations are met. - Lead site representatives during mobilisation, commissioning, and client hand‑over. - Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. **Required Skills:** - Hands‑on commissioning of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems. - Advanced knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs and TIA Portal programming. - Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multidisciplinary systems. - Excellent written and verbal communication; bilingual proficiency in English and at least one Baltic language is a plus. - Project coordination and leadership in on‑site environments. - Familiarity with offshore safety protocols (COSHH, HSE, etc.). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent). - Siemens TIA Portal certification or equivalent PLC qualification preferred. - Valid ISO 45001 or HSE offshore safety certification. - Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
