Job Title: Patient Intake Representative (Contractor) Role Summary: Remote, part‑time (up to 29 hours weekly) independent contractor position focused on outbound initial patient contacts. Handle low to medium‑priority inquiries, assess needs, provide empathetic support, and document all interactions accurately in Salesforce. No ongoing meetings or follow‑up case management responsibilities. Expectations: - Reinforce call coverage during peak demand periods. - Maintain professionalism, empathy, and patient confidentiality at all times. - Complete all required documentation within the set turnaround. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct outbound calls to patients and caregivers with professionalism, listening actively and conveying clear information. - Assess caller needs, identify appropriate internal teams, and facilitate hand‑off. - Record call details and outcomes promptly in Salesforce CRM. - Comply with HIPAA/PII policies and maintain a private, HIPAA‑compliant remote workspace. Required Skills: - 2+ years of experience in high‑volume call center, patient support, customer service, or sales (healthcare experience preferred). - Strong phone etiquette, verbal communication, and active listening. - Ability to stay calm, empathetic, and patient in sensitive/emotional conversations. - Proficient with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and cloud tools (VoIP, Microsoft Office). - Independent self‑management, time‑management, and strict adherence to patient privacy. - Familiarity with medical terminology, oncology, or asbestos‑related diseases is an advantage. Required Education & Certifications: - High school diploma or equivalent (education level not required). - No specific certifications mandated; experience in healthcare or oncology settings preferred.
