Job Description
**Job title:** Student Intern, Business Analyst (Co‑op) **Role Summary:** Provide analytical support to the Business Engagement Services team, applying business analysis, process improvement and project management principles to enhance operational efficiency and support strategic initiatives across WorkSafeBC. **Expectations:** - Work hybrid, 3+ days/week onsite in Richmond (first two weeks full‑time). - Complete onboarding, technology setup, and participate in a structured learning program. - Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership and operational staff. **Key Responsibilities:** - Gather, analyze and synthesize information from stakeholders (senior management, line managers, staff). - Identify risks, opportunities and recommend process improvements aligned with organizational strategy. - Communicate findings and recommendations in clear written and verbal formats. - Develop and refine business processes; map current workflows, document gaps and propose redesigns. - Assist project teams in documenting processes affected by new systems or enhancements. - Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritising amid changing requirements. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical & critical‑thinking ability; detective mindset for uncovering inefficiencies. - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to diverse audiences. - Flexibility, self‑motivation, and ability to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data analysis, project management, or process improvement tools is an asset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current enrollment in an MBA or related degree program with a focus on Consulting, Strategy, Technology, Innovation, or Operations Management. - Registered student participating in a work‑integrated learning (co‑op) program. - Legally eligible to work in Canada.
