D2 Consulting provides services to the Federal Government focused in the following three area's We leverage D2 Consulting engineering, operations and governance best practices to efficiently and effectively deploy, maintain and continuously improve IT services and solutions. This includes not only engineering solutions such as VDI and providing direct support to operations but also deploying the tools to instrument and maintain Enterprise performance and availability (including ITSM and Enterprise Management Tools). Protect & Secure: This is our cyber security practice, which includes functions like audit and information assurance, as well as the traditional mechanics of securing IT systems and services. We have experience working with the Government to better manage risk to help move the accreditation process along. This is especially true with respect to adapting accreditation controls to a cloud environment. Cloud Migration and Data Center modernization/consolidation: This area is focused on cloud migration and adoption as well as data center consolidation. We work to ensure that infrastructure requirements are implemented correctly, according to best practices and in a timely manner.

Job Description
**Job Title:** Software Developer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, test, and deploy custom software for a sophisticated geospatial enterprise environment. Work in an Agile/SAFe team using modern DevSecOps tools and pipelines to deliver secure, scalable solutions that support Intelligence community customers. **Expactations:** - Hold a current Active TS/SCI security clearance and be eligible for a CI polygraph. - Demonstrate 5+ years of professional software development experience. - Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent. - Deliver clean, testable code with automated unit and integration tests. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and ship software across enterprise environments. - Design and implement solutions in a modern DevSecOps pipeline (GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker). - Participate in SAFe/Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, story point estimation, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives. - Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality. - Deploy applications to on‑prem and containerized workloads (e.g., OpenShift). - Identify and solve infrastructure challenges; recommend process improvements across the SDLC. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, or React (willingness to learn additional languages). - Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes container technology. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus) and DevSecOps principles. - Experience with SQL databases. - Comfortable using Jira and Confluence for issue tracking and documentation. - Experience deploying to on‑prem or data‑center environments. **Nice‑to‑Haves (not mandatory):** - RedHat OpenShift Container Platform experience. - ElasticSearch expertise. - Front‑end skills (HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript). - Infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Helm, Terraform). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience. - Active TS/SCI clearance; eligibility for a CI polygraph.
