Job Description
**Job Title** Software Engineer **Role Summary** Full‑time, remote software engineer focused on building and maintaining scalable web applications for educational technology. Primary stack: JavaScript/TypeScript with NestJS (backend) and Next.js (frontend). Emphasis on integrating AI and Agentic AI tools to enhance developer productivity and product capability. **Expectations** - Deliver clean, maintainable code in a fast‑moving, Agile environment. - Actively adopt and evaluate AI tools and frameworks as part of the development lifecycle. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with QA, DevOps, and product teams to ship secure, high‑quality features. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop, test, and deploy full‑stack web applications using NestJS and Next.js. - Design and implement AI‑driven features and workflows. - Create and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs; integrate third‑party services. - Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, unit/integration testing. - Debug and resolve issues across environments and devices. - Continuously improve performance, scalability, and maintainability. - Maintain documentation and coding standards. - Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend new AI tools, libraries, or frameworks. **Required Skills** - Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+). - Strong experience with NestJS (backend) and Next.js (frontend). - Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and pre‑processors (SASS/Less). - Familiarity with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases. - Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL. - Practical use of AI‑assistive IDEs or tools (Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar). - Proficient with Git version control and Agile/Scrum workflows. - Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and independent work capability. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Continuous learning mindset with willingness to experiment with new technologies. **Preferred Skills** - Knowledge of PHP 7+ OOP frameworks (Laravel or Symfony). - Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). - No mandatory certifications required; relevant technical certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are a plus.
