Job title: Communications Manager Role Summary: Lead external communication strategy, media relations, and digital presence for a European trade association, enhancing public profile amid industry challenges. Expectations: 5-8 years of senior communications experience; proven success in multichannel campaigns, media engagement, and stakeholder coordination; strong leadership and editorial skills; fluency in English; EU institutional knowledge; digital and social media expertise. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute the association’s communication strategy and narrative across channels. - Manage media relations, write and edit press releases, talking points, articles, and social media content. - Oversee the website, social media platforms, and other digital assets, ensuring consistent messaging. - Coordinate publication processes and event organization. - Define workflows, collaborate with internal departments and external vendors, and report to senior management. - Manage internal communications to inform members and support the Communications Committee. Required Skills - Strategic communication and brand management. - Excellent written and editorial abilities (copywriting, proofreading). - Proficiency in social media strategy and digital tools. - Event planning and coordination. - Strong stakeholder engagement, including media, EU institutions, and industry members. - Leadership, teamwork, and cross‑cultural collaboration. - Attention to detail, creativity, and initiative. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field. - Relevant certifications in communications, media relations, or digital marketing are an advantage.
