Job Description
Job Title: Project Manager – Sustainable Building Role Summary: Lead the planning, execution, and environmental performance of industrial and commercial construction projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, carbon accountability, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Expectations: • Minimum 5 years experience in a design or engineering office with demonstrated expertise in eco‑design, thermal modelling, and decarbonisation. • Advanced knowledge of French environmental regulations (ICPE, RT 2012, RE 2020). • Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders. • Strong commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement. • Excellent communication, pedagogic, and team‑building skills. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain project compliance documentation (neighbourhood notice, RT 2012, RE 2020). • Conduct carbon footprint assessments for the firm and ongoing projects. • Coordinate and facilitate dialogue among architects, economists, construction directors, and technical offices to define environmental roadmaps. • Support the implementation of the company’s environmental strategy and train staff on eco‑construction practices. • Monitor technical advancements and normative updates relevant to sustainable building. Required Skills: • Mastery of French environmental regulations and building codes (ICPE, RT 2012, RE 2020). • Project management across multiple disciplines and stakeholder alignment. • Deep understanding of eco‑design principles, building physics, and decarbonisation strategies. • Strong analytical and documentation skills. • Team leadership, teaching ability, and meticulousness. Required Education & Certifications: • Master’s degree (Bac + 5) or equivalent in Sustainable Construction, Eco‑Construction, Building Engineering, or related field. • Relevant certifications (e.g., LEED AP, BREEAM, etc.) valued.
