Job Description: **Job Title**: Security Analyst **Role Summary**: Conduct preventive and remedial investigations of information security incidents across Metro Inc. and its subsidiaries, implement, operate, and maintain security controls, and support continuous improvement of security posture. **Expectations**: Deliver timely incident analysis, report findings, and coordinate response actions. Maintain and enhance security tools and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies. **Key Responsibilities** - Monitor SIEM alerts (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) and investigate security incidents. - Analyze complex security problems, propose solutions, and author incident reports and recommendations. - Manage vulnerability scanning lifecycle: schedule scans, analyze findings, and coordinate remediation. - Implement and configure new security tools and maintain existing ones. - Conduct threat intelligence activities: threat research, malware analysis, and forensic investigation. - Detect intrusion attempts or anomalies, recommend corrective actions, and respond to emerging threats. - Perform routine security controls (automation scripts, configuration reviews) and support continuous improvement initiatives. - Maintain and document security processes, compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR). - Participate in security awareness and incident‑response meetings with cross‑functional teams. **Required Skills** - 3–5 years of IT experience, 2 years in security operations. - Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems. - Strong network protocol knowledge and use of IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus. - Experience with SIEM solutions and security automation. - Ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve advanced security incidents. - Excellent written and verbal communication; bilingual (English/French) required. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Professional security certifications (CISSP, CEH, GIAC – GCIH, GPEN, etc.) are a strong plus.
