Job Description
**Job title** Data Lead – Artificial Intelligence & Automation (Fixed‑Term) **Role Summary** Lead the development, governance and adoption of data, AI and automation capabilities across the enterprise. Manage a cross‑functional D&A team, design and implement intelligent systems on Azure, establish centralized standards, ensure data quality, security and performance, and provide business‑focused analytics and reporting solutions. **Expectations** * Deliver high‑quality AI/automation solutions that align with strategic objectives. * Drive adoption of a single, secure platform for AI, ML, data analytics and reporting. * Manage resources and workloads to maximise onshore/offshore value. * Mentor and skill‑develop team members and empower non‑technical users. * Maintain governance, security, and compliance across all data and AI initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI and automation models, including ML, DL, NLP and rule‑based algorithms. * Create and execute a roadmap for data governance, master data, data quality, cataloguing, traceability and security. * Build, manage and optimise the data platform, tooling and access controls for business and technical stakeholders. * Design, develop and maintain dashboards, reports and visualization tools (Power BI, Azure) for internal users. * Lead the promotion of analytic code and visualization artefacts through QA to production. * Establish and enforce data‑sharing policies, security standards and authentication best practices. * Manage Power BI licences, gateways and Visual Studio environments. * Draft training material, documentation and provide support to super users. * Perform capacity and availability reporting for the D&A team, informing recruitment and project planning. * Facilitate weekly team meetings, set agendas and drive engagement. * Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or new technologies to enhance efficiency. **Required Skills** * Strong knowledge of machine‑learning techniques (ML, DL, NLP, computer vision). * Experience with data engineering, data pipeline design, and Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse). * Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and data modeling. * Experience with governance frameworks, data quality, cataloguing, and metadata management. * Expertise in Power BI, dashboards, and reporting on Azure. * Solid understanding of security, authentication, and authorization in cloud environments. * Project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership abilities. * Excellent communication, mentoring, and problem‑solving skills. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related discipline. * Preferred certifications: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI/from Data Analyst, and/or relevant AI/Machine Learning certifications.
