Job Description: Job title: MA Customs Clearance Manager Role Summary: Lead and optimize all customs clearance processes for shipments within Morocco, ensuring compliance with legal and quality standards, driving KPI performance, and managing a cross‑functional team and third‑party providers. Expactations: Maintain high service quality and cost efficiency, continuously improve clearance speed and accuracy, develop staff performance and safety culture, foster strong relationships with customs authorities and internal stakeholders, and adapt operations to evolving regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Manage end‑to‑end customs clearance operations and optimize processes. • Monitor, analyze, and report KPI performance weekly, implementing corrective actions. • Ensure compliance with Moroccan customs regulations and international trade laws. • Lead, motivate and develop a diverse team, including 3rd‑party staff. • Build and maintain relationships with customs authorities, government agencies, and internal departments. • Advise customers on trade compliance and support pre‑clearance accuracy. • Promote safety and environmental responsibility across operations. • Participate in government education and compliance programs. • Prepare management information, reports, and support gateway operations KPIs. Required Skills: • Strong leadership, team building, and motivational abilities. • In‑depth knowledge of customs, trade, and regulatory frameworks. • Analytical skills for KPI monitoring and continuous improvement. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with authorities and stakeholders. • Project management and change‑management expertise. • Risk management and safety‑first mindset. • Proficiency with customs‑related IT systems and reporting tools. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Customs/Trade Compliance, International Business, or related field. • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in customs clearance or logistics operations, preferably in a multinational context. • Valid customs brokerage or trade compliance certification (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist, International Trade Management).
