Job Description
Job Title: Artificial Intelligence Engineer Role Summary: Design, implement, and operationalize AI-native services for the utility sector, managing the full AI lifecycle from data ingestion to real‑time deployment while ensuring scalability, security, and production readiness. Expectations: Deliver AI solutions in a fast‑paced, high‑velocity environment; maintain high reliability and continuous improvement; collaborate closely with engineering, security, and product teams. Key Responsibilities: - Architect, fine‑tune, and deploy AI agents for utility use cases (predictive operations, customer engagement, energy optimization). - Build APIs, microservices, and orchestration frameworks that integrate AI models with enterprise systems and grid‑level data flows. - Design and maintain the entire AI pipeline—data ingestion, embeddings, retrieval, evaluation, and continuous deployment—for reliability and scalability. - Apply AI risk mitigation strategies (model drift, bias, adversarial robustness, hallucination control) in regulated environments. - Partner with software engineers, data specialists, and security teams to embed AI across product releases. - Operate with urgency to achieve weekly release cycles while balancing experimentation with production rigor. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Python and a statically typed language (Java or Go). - Experience with agent platforms and conversational AI frameworks. - Hands‑on expertise with ML/LLM frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, or equivalent). - Familiarity with vector databases, orchestration systems, and modern MLOps practices. - Strong grounding in cloud‑native architectures (AWS, GCP). - Analytical mindset, collaborative teamwork, and adaptability to ambiguity. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field. - 5+ years of applied ML/AI engineering with a proven track record of deploying enterprise‑grade AI services in production. - Experience with mission‑critical systems preferred.
