We are a family run business based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire with history dating back to 1923. IPN is the largest manufacturer of dry dog food and home to some of the biggest and most sustainable pet food brands, in the UK. Our family of brands include Harringtons, Wagg and a selection of partner brands that trust us to produce food on their behalf. Job Description
**Job Title:** People Partner **Role Summary** Strategic HR partner for a manufacturing site of ~100 staff, reporting to the Head of People Partnering (UK) and dotted‑line to the Site General Manager. Drive people agenda, compliance, capability, succession, and engagement while supporting integration and growth initiatives. **Expectations** Deliver a people strategy aligned with short‑ and long‑term business goals. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, coach line managers, and shape HR capabilities across a multi‑site, international environment. **Key Responsibilities** - Partner with the Site General Manager and leadership team to align people plans with business priorities. - Lead the people agenda: compliance, capability development, succession planning, and engagement. - Own recruitment and workforce planning to meet current and future capability needs. - Provide coaching, guidance, and challenge to line managers to enforce policies and build accountability. - Interpret and apply French employment law and company policies, ensuring compliance. - Lead integration, change, and transformation projects and broader strategic HR initiatives. - Build relationships with internal stakeholders, works councils, and external partners. - Lead and develop the local HR Manager and future HR team structure. - Drive continuous improvement of HR processes and practices. - Support performance, development, and talent management across the site. **Required Skills** - Strong strategic HR partnering experience, ideally in manufacturing or multi‑site operations. - Proven coaching, influencing, and senior‑leader partnership skills. - Experience with integration, change, or transformation projects. - Fluency in French and English. - In‑depth knowledge of French labour law and employment legislation. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. - Team leadership and development experience (direct or indirect). - Commercial awareness and solutions‑driven mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field. - Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
