Job Title: IT Manager
Role Summary:
Lead and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient technology environments. Deliver multi‑tier support, manage systems and assets, implement security best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Expactations:
- Own end‑to‑end IT operations and project delivery across departments.
- Maintain compliance with security standards (ISO, Cyber Essentials, GDPR).
- Proactively monitor, harden, and optimize Windows, Linux, and cloud services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1–3 support to internal staff, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Deploy and test software/hardware updates, patches, and backups.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation, and lifecycle management.
- Implement and enforce security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Harden systems, monitor logs, and generate security reports and alerts.
- Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies.
- Manage Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, Intune, and Microsoft 365.
- Oversee user account creation, permissions, and Group Policy objects.
- Manage SQL databases, VOIP systems, and VMware/Hypervisor environments.
- Coordinate with third‑party vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Create and maintain ISO‑27001 documentation and support audit readiness.
- Produce security compliance reports and assist in Cyber Essentials certification.
- Deliver cross‑departmental IT projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
Required Skills:
- Proven IT operational leadership and multi‑tier support experience.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, networking, and software ecosystems.
- Expertise in Microsoft environments: Active Directory, Intune, M365, Group Policy.
- Familiarity with SQL Server administration.
- Experience managing Windows Server and Linux distributions (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Competency in VOIP system administration.
- Hands‑on SIEM knowledge (e.g., Windows Event Forwarding, Sentinel, QRadar).
- Virtualization management (VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V).
- Antivirus solution deployment and security policy auditing.
- Solid grasp of internet, network, and cybersecurity principles.
Required Education & Certifications:
- IT professional certification or equivalent qualification (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure, MCSA/McSE).
- Minimum of 5 years progressive IT management experience.
