Job Title: Lead Software Engineer
Job Description: Job Title: Lead Software Engineer Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale web services and front‑end features in a rapidly growing fintech/healthtech startup. Own end‑to‑end delivery, mentoring, and process improvement while shaping the evolving tech stack and engineering culture. Expections: - Own feature ownership, ensuring reliability, scalability, cost‑efficiency, and compliance. - Provide 24/7 support for owned services. - Mentor junior engineers and enforce best practices. - Drive recruitment and team growth. - Contribute to long‑term technical strategy and infrastructure decisions. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and develop full sections or entire services using Node.js/TypeScript, SvelteKit, Docker, Terraform, and GCP serverless offerings (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, API Gateway). - Review code, conduct QA, and maintain high code quality. - Manage CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration. - Participate in onboarding and recruitment of engineers. - Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and architectural patterns. - Mentor and support engineers at all levels. Required Skills: - 10+ years commercial experience in modern programming languages (TypeScript, Go, Rust, C#, Java). - 5+ years commercial TypeScript experience; 5+ years on web APIs/services. - 5+ years with a modern front‑end framework (Svelte, Angular, React, Vue.js). - 3+ years leading engineering teams. - Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.). - Experience with containerization (Docker) and serverless platforms (GCP preferred). - Strong design, testing, and debugging skills; focus on code quality, reliability, security. Required Education & Certifications: - No formal degree required; must demonstrate 10+ years of industry experience and 3+ years of engineering leadership.
