Job Description
**Job Title:** Hardware Test Engineer (Test Engineer – Hardware Build) **Role Summary:** Design, build, commission, and maintain automated and manual test equipment for internal use and external customers. Collaborate with test development, suppliers, and customers while applying electrical safety standards and ensuring high‑gain test system performance. **Expectations:** - Perform independently with strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities. - Maintain high attention to detail and a quality‑focused mindset. - Communicate progress clearly to project teams and engineering management. - Meet tight deadlines under pressure and adapt to evolving project needs. - Interact professionally with customers, suppliers, and external test facilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assemble, test, and commission hardware test equipment. - Work with Test Development Engineers on hardware selection and design. - Source components, materials, and test equipment. - Translate product specifications into power distribution, safety circuits, and protective housings. - Perform mechanical and electrical assembly and generate equipment “channel lists.” - Apply IEC electrical safety standards; support high‑voltage testing. - Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and external test facilities. - Provide regular progress updates to engineering management and project teams. **Required Skills:** - Hands‑hands experience in hardware build, test equipment, or related engineering discipline. - Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis. - Ability to interpret test standards, specifications, and customer requirements. - Experience with prototype and proof‑of‑concept builds. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Good interpersonal skills for interfacing with customers, suppliers and internal teams. **Desired Skills (optional):** - CAD proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks). - Knowledge of IEC electrical safety standards and safety testing. - Familiarity with IPC manufacturing standards. - Exposure to automotive, railway or British Standards (BS). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience). - No mandatory certifications; however, knowledge of IEC, IPC or industry‑specific standards is advantageous.

**Job Title** Test Engineer – In‑Circuit Test (Production Support) **Role Summary** Provide hands‑on technical support for electronic production testing, focusing on In‑Circuit Test (ICT) and Flying Probe platforms. Operate, commission, maintain, and evolve test equipment to meet product changes and production requirements. **Expactations** - Deliver timely technical support in a fast‑paced production environment. - Meet scheduled commissioning, maintenance, and test introduction milestones. - Communicate test results and root‑cause findings clearly to engineering, production, and customers. - Adhere to test standards, customer specifications, and IPC manufacturing requirements. **Key Responsibilities** - Provide technical support for electronic production testing. - Operate, commission, and maintain ICT platforms (Teradyne, Takaya Flying Probe). - Introduce new tests into production environments. - Develop test methods, procedures, and documentation. - Train production technicians on test equipment and processes. - Investigate test failures and conduct root‑cause analysis. - Produce detailed test reports and present findings to project teams. - Liaise with internal departments, customers, and external test facilities. - Provide regular progress updates to engineering management. **Required Skills** - Strong technical knowledge of electronic test equipment (ICT, flying probe, DMMs, oscilloscopes, NI analyzers). - Hands‑on electronics skills (soldering, component‑level work). - Proven troubleshooting and fault‑finding ability. - Ability to develop and document test methods and procedures. - Proficient in Microsoft Office. - Excellent written and verbal communication for reporting and training. **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree in Engineering or equivalent engineering experience. - Experience with electronic testing and/or development. - Familiarity with test standards, customer requirements, and IPC manufacturing standards. ---
