Job Description: **Job title:** Director of Business Development **Role Summary:** Lead strategy and execution of pharmaceutical business development, including partnerships, licensing, and co-development. Collaborate with executive leadership to shape BD function, deliver market insights, and secure deals that advance product pipelines. **Expectations:** - Influence executive decision‑making and set BD priorities. - Build and grow a high‑performance BD team and processes. - Translate strategic analysis into actionable deals that generate patient impact. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute BD strategy with senior leadership. - Identify, evaluate, and pursue partnership, licensing, and co‑development opportunities. - Conduct market, competitive, and opportunity analyses to inform target selection. - Create pitch materials, partnership proposals, and executive briefings. - Lead due diligence, negotiate term sheets, and structure deals. - Design and implement BD tracking systems, evaluation frameworks, and performance metrics. - Build financial models to assess partnership economics and deal structures. - Maintain relationships with partners, licensees, and key stakeholders. - Provide data‑driven insights for strategic planning and cross‑functional collaboration with R&D, regulatory, and commercial teams. - Develop templates, playbooks, and tools to support BD operations and growth. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and financial modeling (Excel, PowerPoint, advanced techniques). - Excellent communication and persuasion skills; able to influence senior executives. - Proven collaboration across functional teams and with senior leadership. - Strategic thinking and execution capability in dynamic environments. - Passion for pharma/biotech and ambition to advance in BD career. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Economics, or related field. - Minimum 5 years experience in pharmaceutical business development or management consulting.
