Job Description
Job title: Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, Respiratory (Specialty & Primary Care) Role Summary: Drive sales and market presence of respiratory therapeutics within a defined territory by building and maintaining relationships with general practitioners, specialists, clinics, and pharmacies. Create and execute territory plans, meet performance targets, and support brand growth through strategic account management and promotional initiatives. Expactations: • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. • Maintain up‑to‑date CRM records and territory analyses. • Deliver compelling product presentations and training to healthcare providers. • Translate customer needs into product solutions and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and manage a detailed sales plan for the assigned territory. • Conduct regular visits and cold calls to GPs, specialists, clinics, and pharmacies. • Identify and pursue new promotional opportunities, including campaign development. • Generate reports on territory performance and forecast future sales. • Manage key accounts, nurture long‑term relationships, and secure contract renewals. • Record and follow up on product complaints and adverse drug reactions. • Participate in product and marketing meetings and provide actionable feedback. • Adapt messaging to diverse customer segments and maintain brand consistency. Required Skills: • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience in respiratory, preferably in specialty and primary care. • Strong communication, persuasion, and relationship‑building abilities. • Proven cold‑calling and prospecting skills with a high sales aptitude. • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office; knowledge of social media tools is an asset. • Excellent time‑management, organization, and prioritization to meet deadlines. • Creative, resourceful, adaptable, and self‑motivated; capable of working independently or as part of a team. • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the territory. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a science discipline. • Valid Canada driver’s licence.
