Job Title: Sustainability Lead Role Summary: Spearhead the integration of ESG principles into the lifecycle of major UK facility projects, ensuring superior environmental performance and compliance with leading sustainability standards. Expectations: Deliver measurable ESG outcomes, manage BREEAM/LEED certification processes, embed company ESG strategy into every project phase, and elevate sustainability capability across multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary sustainability advisor for all UK projects. - Own and coordinate BREEAM, LEED, and other certification processes with clients and consultants. - Translate corporate ESG strategy into actionable project objectives, focusing on carbon reduction, regulatory compliance, and cultural change. - Develop and deliver tailored sustainability training and reporting for technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Conduct regular site visits to monitor environmental compliance, audit performance, and identify opportunities for innovative sustainable solutions. - Produce concise sustainability reports and progress updates for senior leadership and external partners. Required Skills: - Proven experience managing sustainability initiatives in construction or facilities projects. - Expertise in BREEAM, LEED, carbon impact assessments, and related tools. - Strong communication and influencing abilities across technical and non‑technical audiences. - Self‑directed, results‑driven mindset with the ability to own and execute agendas independently. - Ability to analyze complex environmental data and translate findings into actionable strategies. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. - Professional accreditation such as BREEAM Accredited Professional (BAP), LEED AP, or equivalent is highly desirable.
