Job Description

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Platform (Infrastructure & Reliability) Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and operation of a secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that supports quantum-classical workloads. Own end‑to‑end lifecycle from architecture to deployment, ensuring reliability, performance, and continuous delivery across multi‑cloud and on‑prem resources. Expectations: - Demonstrated senior engineering experience in platform, SRE, or cloud roles. - Proven ability to build, launch, and maintain production‑grade cloud applications. - Strong focus on quality and testability; code delivered only when fully validated. - Cross‑functional collaboration with backend and quantum application teams to translate algorithms into deployable services. - Active engagement in architectural decisions that enable high‑performance, distributed workloads. Key Responsibilities: 1. **Scalable Infrastructure Design** – Architect and deploy robust, secure cloud environments using IaC (Terraform, Ansible) across AWS, GCP, Azure, and on‑prem HPC clusters. 2. **Quality & Testing Ownership** – Define and execute comprehensive CI/CD pipelines, integration tests, and quality control processes for hybrid quantum‑classical workflows. 3. **Hybrid Cloud Management** – Integrate and maintain heterogeneous resources, ensuring seamless operation and high availability. 4. **Production Deployment Enablement** – Collaborate with application teams to move features and algorithms from development to production, including monitoring and observability. 5. **Performance Optimization** – Conduct bottleneck analysis, optimize compute‑intensive tasks, and improve resource utilization. Required Skills: - Senior-level platform/SRE/cloud engineering experience. - Deep expertise in CI/CD, automated testing, and quality assurance. - Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Ansible) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, possibly Covalent). - Strong knowledge of systems programming languages (C/C++, Rust, Java) and scripting (Python, SQL). - Experience managing multi‑cloud and on‑prem distributed systems. - (Optional) HPC environment familiarity, quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Pennylane), and orchestration tools. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
