**Job Title:** Midweight Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain robust applications that integrate marketing technology with fintech solutions. Work in a research‑driven environment, leveraging Node.js, PHP, Python, and AI frameworks to build scalable, intelligent systems that optimize business processes across both domains. **Expectations:** - 2‑5 years of commercial software development experience. - Proven proficiency in at least one of Node.js, PHP, or Python. - Experience with modern PHP frameworks (Laravel or Symfony). - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. - Hands‑on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and version control via Git. - Ability to write clean, well‑documented code and perform peer code reviews. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build, test, and deploy scalable applications using Node.js, PHP, and/or Python. - Design and implement intelligent automation and optimisation engines with Python and agentic AI frameworks. - Integrate diverse APIs, databases, and systems across marketing and fintech platforms. - Collaborate in an agile environment with developers, data scientists, and financial subject‑matter experts. - Maintain code quality standards, perform code reviews, and produce clear technical documentation. - Troubleshoot, debug, and support production systems to ensure high reliability and performance. **Required Skills:** - Node.js, PHP, or Python (proficient). - Modern PHP framework (Laravel or Symfony). - Relational database (MySQL) experience. - Git version control. - HTML/CSS for front‑end template adjustments. - Analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Strong written and verbal communication. *(Desirable)* - Basic familiarity with front‑end JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js). - Cloud and containerisation knowledge (AWS, Docker). - Enthusiasm for AI and a willingness to learn AI methodologies. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
