Job Description
Job Title Junior Robotics Engineer Role Summary Assist in designing, developing, and integrating autonomous systems for next‑generation defense platforms. Focus on perception, localization, path‑planning, and real‑time control in simulation and field environments while collaborating with cross‑disciplinary teams. Expactations - Proficiency in Python and C++ programming for robotics. - Knowledge of ROS/ROS2, simulation tools (Gazebo, Isaac, PX4), and real‑time embedded systems. - Hands‑on experience with sensors, compute hardware, and communication interfaces. - Ability to develop data pipelines, run HIL simulations, and analyze flight‑test data. - Expertise in debugging performance issues across software and hardware stacks. - Commitment to Git‑based workflows, CI/CD, and automated testing. Key Responsibilities - Develop, implement, and optimize real‑time perception, localization, and path‑planning algorithms. - Create vision‑based target‑tracking and terminal guidance interfaces. - Build and maintain simulation and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing workflows. - Integrate sensors, compute units, and communication links into test environments. - Collect, process, and analyze sensor/flight data to inform system improvements. - Design and implement automation tools and test scripts to accelerate validation. - Collaborate with system, mission, and software teams to ensure seamless deployment. - Support flight‑test planning, execution, and post‑test data reviews. Required Skills - Programming: Python, C++ (preferred), MATLAB/Octave. - Robotics: Perception, controls, autonomy fundamentals. - Platforms: ROS/ROS2, PX4, ArduPilot (ArduPlane). - Simulation: Gazebo, Isaac, PX4 stack. - Embedded Systems: Real‑time development, hardware integration. - Development Tools: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/container workflows. - Data: Pipeline creation, statistical analysis, performance monitoring. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. - 1+ year of professional experience in robotics engineering (minimum). - U.S. person (citizen or permanent resident) with permission to work on‑site. ---
