Co‑Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Role Summary
Founding CEO of a cybersecurity SaaS startup created within a dedicated European startup studio. Responsible for translating a validated AI‑driven product concept into a market‑ready business, executing go‑to‑market strategy, achieving early revenue targets, securing capital, and building a high‑performing team in an inherently uncertain, high‑impact environment. No salary is provided for the first 15 months; equity split is 70 % founder, 30 % studio.
Expectations
- Deliver €500 K ARR within 18 months; reach an established, recurring revenue base.
- Secure Series A or equivalent funding with studio support, preserving founder equity.
- Build an operational, scalable organization that can serve European enterprises across resilience and trust lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities
- **Vision & Organisational Build** – Finalise and own the company strategy, business plan, budget, and operational framework.
- **Go‑to‑Market & Commercialisation** – Design and implement sales, pricing, partnership, and customer‑success programmes. Secure the first customers and close early deals as a long‑term revenue driver.
- **Fundraising & Investor Relations** – Lead equity and debt fundraising rounds, craft deck and pitch, negotiate terms, and maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders.
- **Team & Culture Leadership** – Recruit, onboard, and mentor core functions (sales, product, operations, support). Foster a product‑centric, collaborative culture aligned with the mission.
- **Product Co‑definition** – Work with the CTO to prioritise features, refine value proposition, and align product roadmap with market needs, ensuring scalability and operational resilience.
- **P&L Stewardship** – Own profit and loss, forecast revenue, manage burn, and iteratively adjust operating model to meet milestones.
Required Skills
- Proven B2B SaaS sales and business development experience, with a record of closing deals and scaling revenue.
- Deep familiarity with P&L management, budgeting, and financial KPI tracking.
- Strong product acumen: ability to collaborate with engineering, define value, and translate user needs into viable, scalable solutions.
- Start‑up ownership or early‑stage leadership background; resilience in the face of uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Exceptional leadership and team‑building skills; ability to unite technical and non‑technical teams around a shared vision.
- Executive decision‑making; clear, concise communication with investors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA, advanced product management, or entrepreneurship certification is advantageous but not required.
