Job Description
Job Title: IT Service Manager Role Summary Lead and oversee the entire IT services function across a multi‑site organization, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems and networks. Drive IT infrastructure projects, manage vendor relationships, and develop a team of system and network administrators. Expectations - Minimum 5 years of progressive IT leadership experience in a multi‑site environment. - Proven track record of managing technical teams and delivering infrastructure projects. - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Ability to proactively identify and resolve technical issues and propose innovative improvements. Key Responsibilities - Administer and maintain servers, storage, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and virtualization (VMware). - Ensure high availability and performance of IT systems and implement necessary security measures. - Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers. - Plan, budget, and report on IT infrastructure projects (migrations, deployments, upgrades). - Draft requirements and oversee procurement processes (tenders, RFPs). - Lead, coach, and develop a team of system and network administrators; set objectives and coordinate site interventions. - Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies; recommend and implement improvements. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide tailored IT solutions. Required Skills - System administration (Windows, Linux, VMware). - Network administration (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, Directory services). - Database administration and querying (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL). - IT security and risk management. - Project management (planning, budgeting, reporting). - Vendor management and contract negotiation. - Strong written and oral communication. - Analytical and problem‑solving abilities; proactive initiative. Required Education & Certifications - Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, VMware Certified Professional, or equivalent) preferred.
