Job Description
Job Title: Information Security Analyst Role Summary: Evaluate, prioritize, and manage requests for IT security services and incident response. Coordinate investigations of security incidents and policy violations, serve as a core member of the breach response team, and deliver security training across the organization. Expectations: - Analyze and triage security incidents with limited guidance. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to investigate and mitigate incidents. - Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and communications. - Educate staff on security policies, procedures, and best practices. Key Responsibilities: 1. Intake and assess security service requests and incident alerts. 2. Prioritize incidents based on impact, risk, and organizational priorities. 3. Assist in incident investigations, evidence collection, and forensic analysis. 4. Participate in breach response drills and actual breach handling. 5. Document findings, remedial actions, and post‑incident reports. 6. Deliver security awareness training and support policy compliance. 7. Monitor security tools, logs, and threat intelligence feeds. Required Skills: - Knowledge of IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS). - Experience with incident response, threat hunting, and forensic techniques. - Proficiency in security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection). - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple incidents. - Detail‑oriented documentation and reporting capabilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field. - Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent preferred.
