Job Description
**Job Title:** Procurement Specialist **Role Summary:** Lead procurement activities for mineral and metal projects, developing strategies to secure value and ensure on‑time delivery of materials and equipment while maintaining rigorous control over pre‑qualification, bid evaluation, and contract close‑out processes. **Expectations:** - Deliver best‑value procurement solutions that align with project schedules. - Coordinate multi‑stakeholder communications and maintain accurate procurement documentation. - Manage multiple or large‑scale projects simultaneously with a proven track record in tight deadlines. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute purchasing strategies for materials and equipment. - Improve lead time performance and monitor procurement leads against project milestones. - Prepare and issue EOI and RFP documents, manage supplier engineering deliverables. - Conduct supplier and client meetings to negotiate terms and resolve issues. - Control procurement cycle: pre‑qualification, bid evaluation, recommendation of award, expediting, inspection, delivery, and close‑out. - Update schedules and expeditor system modules (e.g., Smart Plant Materials) with project data, drawings, and specifications. **Required Skills:** - 3–7 years procurement experience in engineering consulting or EPC/EPCM environments. - Proficiency with procurement automation systems (e.g., Smart Plant Materials). - Strong written and oral communication, negotiation, and networking abilities. - Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills. - Ability to manage simultaneous or large‑scale projects under tight deadlines. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant procurement or project‑management certifications preferred (e.g., CPS, PMP).
