Job Description
Job title: Azure DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Lead cloud platform engineer responsible for day‑to‑day operations, backlog management, and strategic guidance of the Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments that underpin mission‑critical applications. Expectations: Deliver reliable, secure, and automated platform services; drive continuous improvement and adoption of DevOps best practices; collaborate cross‑functionally with application, web, and partner teams; maintain strict change‑control governance. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and maintain Azure and OCI environments, including subscriptions, Kubernetes clusters, and golden images. - Own and prioritize the technical backlog for the application cloud platform. - Monitor platform health using Azure/OCI observability tools; diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve platform‑level issues. - Implement and enforce patching, RBAC, certificate management, and security controls. - Champion automation (Terraform, scripting) and DevOps practices across the estate. - Design, deploy, and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions. - Support Microsoft Power Platform and Azure Data teams with platform build and support. - Provide strategic platform guidance and help scale team capabilities. Required Skills: - Strong IT operations background with cloud experience, preferably Azure. - Proven expertise in Kubernetes management and observability tooling. - Advanced Azure knowledge (CAF, monitoring, logging, networking). - Windows and Linux system administration. - Automated infrastructure provisioning with Terraform or similar. - Experience in change‑control and governance frameworks. - Knowledge of Azure security, certificates, and RBAC. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or equivalent certification. - (Optional) Azure Solutions Architect or Azure DevOps Engineer certification.
