Job Description
Job Title: Intermediate Full Stack Engineer Role Summary: Develop and maintain scalable web applications and APIs using JavaScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js. Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality features within agile sprints, ensuring performance, testability, and maintainability. Expectations: - Deliver production‑ready code that handles edge cases and errors. - Write test‑driven code and participate in code reviews. - Communicate progress via Slack, Jira, and GitHub. - Engage in 2‑week sprints with daily stand‑ups. - Contribute to technical design documents and architecture diagrams. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and iterate front‑end components (React, CSS, Storybook). - Develop RESTful APIs with Node.js, Fastify, and OpenAPI Spec. - Interface with PostgreSQL and Redis for data persistence and caching. - Debug and troubleshoot production issues. - Mentor peers through constructive code reviews. - Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to deliver the product roadmap. Required Skills: - 3+ years of professional software engineering experience. - Strong JavaScript (ES6+), React, and CSS expertise. - Familiarity with Webpack, Storybook, testing libraries, and client‑side tooling. - Experience building and documenting REST APIs using Node.js, Fastify, or similar. - Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, and backend performance considerations. - Proficiency in test‑driven development and version control (Git). - Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross‑functional team. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - No mandatory certifications required. - Must be eligible for full‑time employment in Canada.
