Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Role Summary
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of high‑availability cloud infrastructure and application deployments, ensuring reliability, performance, and cost efficiency while guiding junior engineers and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
Expectations

- Maintain system uptime and fast incident resolution.
- Continuously improve processes, tools, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tooling.
- Enforce operations and development standards to reduce downtime.
- Perform regular health checks, capacity planning, and cost monitoring of cloud services.
- Respond to high‑severity incidents, investigate root causes, and implement fixes.
- Evaluate and procure third‑party products, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Define, document, and enforce cloud‑infrastructure and DevOps processes.
- Mentor and train Site Reliability Engineers on technologies and standards.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix, scripting (Python, Bash), and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes/Container orchestration.
- Expertise in monitoring, alerting, and log‑analysis tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
- Incident‑management, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
- Self‑motivated, independent decision‑maker with strong problem‑solving and collaboration skills.
- Leadership and mentorship capabilities.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of site reliability, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering experience.
- Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure/Azure Engineer Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent, are preferred.
