Job Description: **Job Title** Data Protection Officer (DPO) Assistant – Data Protection Officer **Role Summary** Support the senior DPO and the Operational Compliance Unit in implementing and maintaining GDPR compliance across the organization. Act as a key liaison between legal, IT, and business teams to ensure data‑processing activities meet regulatory standards and internal policies. **Expectations** - Minimum 4 years of experience in data‑protection within the banking‑insurance sector. - Strong legal and regulatory background with a focus on GDPR. - Ability to produce clear, pragmatic documentation and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. - Proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with technical teams. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Maintain and update the data‑processing register and conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs). 2. Administer the GDPR compliance management tool and track remediation plans. 3. Perform ongoing regulatory monitoring and execute periodic GDPR compliance controls. 4. Participate in cross‑functional projects that involve personal data to ensure GDPR‑aligned data acquisition, storage, and access rights. 5. Design and deliver training and awareness programs for data owners and employees; keep procedures and codes of conduct up to date. 6. Collaborate with Information Security (CISO) and IT teams on security‑related data‑protection matters. 7. Support broader compliance initiatives related to AI Act, DORA, and FIDA, including monitoring AI‑related features and contributing to related regulatory projects. **Required Skills** - In‑depth knowledge of GDPR and related data‑protection regulations (e.g., AI Act, DORA, FIDA). - Familiarity with banking‑insurance data‑processing environments. - Excellent written and verbal communication; strong drafting skills. - Ability to translate legal requirements into practical, secure operational solutions. - Proficiency with office productivity suites and compliance‑management tools; strong technical aptitude. - Stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior management. **Required Education & Certifications** - Master’s degree in Law, Compliance, or Business Administration with a specialization in data protection. - Preferred certifications: CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent data‑privacy credentials (optional but advantageous).
