Job Description
**Job title** Windows Endpoint and Server Administrator **Role Summary** Serve as a senior Systems Engineer responsible for planning and executing patch and vulnerability remediation for Windows servers and endpoints across a multi‑sector enterprise. Operate remotely with 1–2 days of travel to Chicago, IL each week, focusing on SCCM, Citrix, and Linux environments. **Expectations** - 5–8 years of experience as a Windows SME or Systems Engineer. - Proven track record in patch & vulnerability management in complex, regulated environments. - Ability to work independently and manage cross‑functional collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Plan, schedule, and execute patch deployments for Windows servers and endpoints using SCCM. 2. Conduct vulnerability assessments, prioritize remediation, and document closure. 3. Manage Citrix infrastructure (delivery controllers, out‑of‑band updates, licensing). 4. Oversee Linux host provisioning and baseline security where applicable. 5. Maintain asset inventory, patch baselines, and compliance reports. 6. Collaborate with security, network, and application teams to address findings. 7. Apply scripting and automation to streamline patching workflows. 8. Produce detailed documentation and knowledge base articles. **Required Skills** - Windows Server administration (2012/2016/2019/2022). - SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) lifecycle management. - Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop or equivalent. - Linux administration basics (RHEL/CentOS). - Patch management strategy & tools. - Vulnerability assessment tools (Qualys, Nessus, etc.). - PowerShell scripting, batch, and/or Bash scripting. - ITIL Service Management fundamentals. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals or equivalent. - SCCM Certified Administrator (SC-100) or proven SCCM experience. - CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification. - Additional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, or Linux Professional Institute (LPIC) are a plus.
