ServiceNow Architect
**Role summary**
Provide architectural leadership for a high‑priority Canadian Armed Forces onboarding initiative. Design, validate, and guide the implementation of a secure, scalable ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD) architecture that supports end‑to‑end onboarding for both military and civilian personnel. Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, ServiceNow best practices, and security/compliance requirements.

- Maintain separation of data, processes, and compliance between military and civilian streams.
- Deliver production‑ready solutions that improve efficiency, reduce timelines, and support sustainable growth.
- Support governance, risk management, and long‑term platform health.
**Key responsibilities**
1. **Discovery & Requirements** – Review existing HRSD configurations, integrations, and roadmaps; confirm functional and non‑functional needs; assess CAF‑specific onboarding requirements.
2. **Governance & Design Authority** – Establish architectural governance forums, define platform standards, guardrails, and configuration principles; approve designs and maintain ADRs.
3. **Architecture & Security Design** – Define multi‑workstream HRSD architecture, reuse vs. separation strategy, access controls, audit requirements, and segregation controls.
4. **Data, Process & Integration Architecture** – Create onboarding data models, lifecycle states, and end‑to‑end process flows; align CAF and civilian processes while preserving policy differences; define integration patterns and technical standards.
5. **Implementation & Release Oversight** – Guide configuration vs. customization decisions; review solution designs; define testing and regression strategies; oversee defect triage, release coordination, and change controls.
6. **Documentation & Operational Readiness** – Produce and maintain architectural artifacts, ADRs, operational support inputs, ownership boundaries, and runbooks.
**Required skills**
- Deep expertise in ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD) architecture and configuration management.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, security controls, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, SOC).
- Ability to design scalable, reusable solutions and enforce governance across large deployments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proven experience with CMDB management, data integrity, and platform health practices.
- Analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities at the senior enterprise level.
**Required education & certifications**
- Must hold a ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA).
- Must have a Secret clearance with the Government of Canada.
- Demonstrated responsibility for architectural design, remediation, and ongoing operational governance of at least one enterprise ServiceNow deployment, including large CMDB management and governance processes.
