Senior Integration Analyst – Medical Devices
**Role Summary**
Lead enterprise‑wide integration of medical devices with EHR and middleware platforms. Own design, deployment, testing, and maintenance of HL7/FHIR/IHE‑based interfaces. Coordinate cross‑functional projects, manage vendor relationships, and ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence across the health system.
**Expectations**
- Deliver fully tested, secure integrations that meet enterprise standards.
- Complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with documented governance.
- Provide clear status reports and actionable insights to clinical, operational, and IT leadership.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and maintain device integrations (Cerner CareAware, CareAware iBus, MDI, BMDI, CareView).
- Build and validate interfaces for HL7, FHIR, and IHE device data flows.
- Troubleshoot, resolve incidents, and maintain security/privacy compliance (HIPAA, FDA).
- Partner with biomedical engineering, IT infrastructure, and clinical teams to meet connectivity requirements.
- Lead project scoping: feasibility, timelines, cost estimates, resource planning.
- Coordinate deliverables, testing, go‑live, and post‑implementation support.
- Manage tickets, procurement, vendor quotes, and budget tracking.
- Evaluate and configure third‑party integration partners; recommend new devices/technologies.
- Monitor performance, identify optimization opportunities, and maintain integration documentation.
- Contribute to governance, standards, and architectural strategy for long‑term scalability.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years in healthcare IT integration, 2+ focused on medical device connectivity.
- Expertise in HL7, FHIR, IHE profiles, and device protocols.
- Proficiency with integration engines (Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf) and Cerner CareAware modules.
- Strong project coordination: requirements gathering, scoping, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent troubleshooting across clinical workflows and system interfaces.
- Effective communication with clinical, operational, vendor, and IT leadership.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, FDA regulations, and cybersecurity for connected devices (preferred).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Optional: PMP/CAPM, Lean/Six Sigma training, or similar project management certification.
