Job Description
**Job Title** Software Test Engineer II — Medical Device **Role Summary** Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for the OPAL 3D cardiac mapping system. Collaborate with software, hardware, and field support teams in an Agile environment to verify system functionality, performance, and compliance with medical device regulations. **Expectations** * Deliver high‑quality test artifacts and reports on time. * Maintain continuous learning of new tools, technologies, and medical device domain knowledge. * Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and cross‑functional meetings. * Ensure compliance with ISO/FDA documentation standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Create, review, and maintain test cases covering UI, algorithms, and back‑end data handling. * Execute manual tests and develop automated scripts in Python for Linux/Unix environments. * Debug and resolve issues in automation scripts and the automation framework. * Run automated test suites against JIRA items and coordinate with multiple scrum teams. * Develop and update test automation supporting websites or interfaces. * Document test results, write reports, and report defects or enhancements in the bug tracking system. * Participate in daily scrums, product reviews, bug triage meetings, and knowledge‑sharing sessions. * Collaborate with software developers, hardware engineers, and field support to identify and resolve issues. * Maintain quality compliance by following written testing procedures and documentation standards. **Required Skills** * Proficient programming in Python for automation. * Experience with Selenium, Squish, or equivalent test automation frameworks. * Familiarity with source‑code control systems (Git, BitBucket). * Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team. * Knowledge of Linux/Unix testing environments. * Understanding of medical device regulatory requirements (ISO, FDA). **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent. * Minimum 3 years of software test engineering experience, or 1 year of experience with a Master’s degree. * (Optional) Additional certifications in software testing or quality assurance preferred but not required.
