Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Sales Manager **Role Summary:** Lead and expand PIC’s value proposition for swine genetics in France, overseeing a team of Sales Representatives to drive revenue, profitability, and market share. Responsible for strategic customer initiatives, P&L delivery, and cross‑functional collaboration with Marketing, Supply Chain, Technical Services, HR, and Finance. **Expectations:** - Develop and execute sales strategy for the assigned region. - Build and maintain profitable relationships with new and existing customers. - Achieve sales forecasts, budget targets, and overall P&L goals. - Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing sales team. - Travel domestically and occasionally internationally. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support Regional Commercial Director in strategic customer planning. - Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline; create lead‑generation plans. - Negotiate, renew, and manage customer contracts. - Prepare and monitor regional sales forecasts and annual budgets. - Foster relationships with key industry influencers and internal enabling functions. - Collaborate with customers to optimize genetic performance on farms. - Provide coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities for sales staff. **Required Skills:** - Extensive B2B sales experience in the pork production or related agribusiness sector. - Strong negotiation and contract‑management abilities. - Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills (fluent English, French advantageous). - Proven leadership and team‑building capability; ability to adapt leadership style. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools. - Ability to work within a matrix organization and manage cross‑functional relationships. - Self‑motivated, innovative, and adaptable to changing market demands. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (preferred fields: Agricultural Science, Animal Science, or related). - Relevant industry certifications or training in sales/animal genetics are a plus.
