Job Description
**Job title** Procurement Manager **Role Summary** Lead strategic procurement for project‑based OEM engineering works, ensuring cost certainty, risk mitigation, and supplier performance across the entire project lifecycle. **Expectations** - Deliver procurement strategy that aligns with business growth and project objectives. - Maintain early procurement engagement for accurate cost and schedule alignment. - Negotiate and manage supplier agreements to secure cost competitiveness and supply resilience. - Provide value‑engineering opportunities and cost‑down initiatives across the supply base. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and execute a procurement strategy in line with project and growth goals. - Establish and manage long‑term supplier contracts and framework agreements. - Lead supplier rationalisation and build strategic vendor partnerships. - Offer early procurement input during bids, tenders, and engineering phases. - Support project teams in sourcing high‑risk, long‑lead, or critical components. - Align procurement plans with project schedules and cash‑flow requirements. - Drive cost‑down and value‑engineering initiatives. - Monitor cost performance, variations, and supplier claims. - Negotiate payment terms to improve working‑capital. - Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks (capacity, single source, market volatility). - Establish procurement governance, policies, and standardised processes. - Ensure compliance with contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements. - Act as liaison between engineering, project management, operations, and suppliers. **Required Skills** - Proven experience in strategic procurement or supply‑chain management within a project‑based OEM, engineering, manufacturing, or capital‑equipment environment. - Strong commercial acumen and negotiation of complex supplier agreements. - Ability to manage procurement across multiple concurrent projects. - Experience engaging with engineering and project teams early in design and bid phases. - Analytical, stakeholder‑management, and communication skills. - Knowledge of contract law and risk management in project settings (desirable). **Required Education & Certifications** - Formal qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or Business (e.g., MB, BSc, or equivalent). - Relevant procurement or project‑management certification (e.g., CPS, CSCP, PMP, or similar) is preferred. ---
