**Job title**
Data Engineer – Analytics & BI
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and maintain enterprise data warehouses, data pipelines, and BI solutions on Azure to enable data‑driven decision making. Deliver high‑quality, governed data assets and interactive Power BI dashboards while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to define KPIs and provide actionable insights.
**Expectations**
- Own end‑to‑end data solutions: architecture, development, deployment, and production support.
- Ensure data quality, performance, and governance across all assets.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to business stakeholders.
- Deliver measurable business value through timely, accurate analytics and reporting.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Model and maintain data warehouses in SQL Server, Azure Synapse, and Lakehouse environments.
- Develop, automate, and monitor data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Python, and Spark.
- Build and optimize Power BI datasets, star‑schema models, DAX measures, and reports in Power BI Service.
- Integrate and transform data from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, flat files, APIs).
- Contribute to the design and evolution of the cloud analytics platform (Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Power BI Service).
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to surface actionable insights.
- Create and document Python scripts and KNIME workflows for data enrichment and processing.
- Collaborate with IT, business, and leadership to define, deliver, and maintain KPIs and dashboards.
- Provide production support, documentation, and reliability assurance for BI solutions.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced SQL (complex joins, procedures, indexing, query optimization).
- Power BI (data modeling, DAX, publishing, workspace management).
- Azure Data & Analytics services: Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage, Azure Spark.
- Python (pandas, pyodbc, data manipulation, automation).
- ETL/ELT tools: KNIME, Power Query or equivalent.
- Data governance, architecture best practices, and security fundamentals.
- Strong analytical, rigorous, and autonomous mindset.
- Bilingual: French and English (intermediate proficiency).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate DP‑203, Power BI Certification) are advantageous.
