Job Description
**Job Title** Security Specialist **Role Summary** Coordinate strategic and tactical direction of the U.S. Security Program. Develop and implement security policies, plans, and procedures. Support design, operation, and maintenance of security infrastructure, systems, and protocols. Advise on risk analysis, incident response, and performance monitoring across facilities. Lead investigations, manage access control systems, and deliver training and education. **Expactations** - Provide program oversight and strategic advice to the U.S. Security Manager and senior leadership. - Ensure alignment of security initiatives with regulatory requirements and executive policies. - Maintain a proactive stance on risk mitigation, incident response, and continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and implement security policies, plans, and procedures. - Administer and coordinate security infrastructure, including technology and systems. - Conduct security incident investigations, interviews, and assessments; produce formal reports and recommendations. - Manage access control systems: badge activation/deactivation, door control, ID production. - Provide administrative and advisory support for physical security, cybersecurity, emergency procedures, and personal protection. - Coordinate and deliver security awareness, education, training, and orientation programs. - Liaise with internal stakeholders, government agencies (e.g., FBI, NSA, local law enforcement), and external partners. - Direct and coordinate security personnel and contractors. - Perform other duties (≤5%) as assigned. **Required Skills** - Extensive knowledge of security principles, policies, and procedures. - Advanced leadership and mentoring abilities; ability to influence performance and maintain a positive work environment. - Proficient in building cross‑functional relationships and collaborating in diverse environments. - Advanced analytical skills for data interpretation, problem solving, and solution implementation. - Excellent verbal and written communication with peers, management, government officials, senior leadership, and contractors. - Advanced understanding of access control systems and emergency response program operations. - High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) for clear presentation of information. - Ability to make strategic/tactical decisions to resolve access control issues safely and reliably. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security, Security Management, Emergency Response, or a related discipline (or equivalent law‑enforcement or military experience). - Minimum 8 years of experience in law enforcement, military, or a supervisory role in the private security sector. - Minimum 5 years of formal and specialized training in security, criminal justice, and industrial relations (preferred).
