Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Security Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise security controls to protect critical assets, data, and privacy across a global, multi‑site environment. Drive threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management and security automation while partnering with engineering, operations, and risk teams to embed an ISO/IEC 27001‑aligned security culture. **Expectations:** - Deliver measurable enhancements to security posture and compliance (ISO27001, SOX, PCI‑DSS) within defined timelines. - Act as a trusted advisor to engineering and business units, translating regulatory requirements into actionable technical controls. - Demonstrate proactive issue identification, root‑cause analysis, and remediation. - Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and maintain industry certifications. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and enforce security controls (DLP, IDS/IPS, firewalls, SIEM/SOAR, endpoint protection, cloud‑native tooling). - Investigate, contain, and analyze security incidents; produce RCA reports and improvement plans. - Manage vulnerability lifecycle – scan, assess, prioritize, and validate remediation. - Lead migration to modern DLP and SIEM platforms and maintain configuration. - Review tenant‑level security posture, provide gap analyses, and implement corrective actions. - Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows; coach teams on secure coding and deployment practices. - Automate repetitive tasks and develop tooling to scale security monitoring and incident response. - Conduct security awareness training and third‑party risk assessments. **Required Skills:** - Strong communication and stakeholder management. - Deep knowledge of threat landscape, remediation techniques, and security architecture. - Hands‑on experience with DLP, IDS/IPS, firewalls, SIEM/SOAR, and endpoint solutions. - Practical incident response and root‑cause analysis. - Networking, infrastructure, and cloud security fundamentals (Azure, GCP, and M365). - Ability to design and script automation for security operations (Python, PowerShell, Bash). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field. - CCSP, CEH, CySA+, SSCP, or equivalent security certifications. - Security certifications significantly preferred: ISO27001 Lead Implementer, CISSP, or relevant cloud‑security credentials.
