Job Title: Backend Platform Engineer Role Summary Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that process and analyze complex data structures. Leverage graph databases, large language models (LLMs), and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) to create data‑driven insights for enterprise sellers. Drive technical solutions that translate into measurable business impact within a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. Expectations - Proficiency in Python and expert grasp of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization. - Ability to learn rapidly, experiment with emerging technologies (graph DBs, ML/AI, LLMs), and apply them productively. - Strong communication and collaboration skills; thrive in ambiguous, startup‑style settings. - Drive initiative, iterate on solutions, and continuously improve system performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities - Design and optimize backend architecture for ingesting, storing, and querying complex datasets. - Build and maintain data pipelines that facilitate efficient querying and management. - Integrate RAG techniques to enhance information extraction and relevance. - Collaborate with product, engineering, and go‑to‑market teams to ensure technical solutions deliver business outcomes. - Monitor industry trends in graph databases, LLMs, and related ML/AI fields, proposing innovative solutions. - Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to uphold engineering excellence. Required Skills - Python programming (production‑grade). - Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system performance tuning. - Experience or strong desire to work with graph databases (Neo4j, TigerGraph, etc.) and query languages (Cypher, Gremlin). - Familiarity with LLMs, knowledge graphs, or related AI technologies is a plus. - Effective communicator with the ability to simplify complex concepts for mixed audiences. - Comfortable with rapid iteration, ambiguity, and cross‑team collaboration. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, data engineering, or AI are advantageous but not mandatory.
